The 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal, according to Sunni Muslims, is the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This year, the date corresponds to the 8th or 9th of March.

Thanks, Liam! Yes, the day went well, praise be to God. I don't really celebrate the Prophet's (pbuh) birthday, because there's no record of him celebrating it himself, but I did keep him in my thoughts and prayed for him. Even if one doesn't actively "celebrate" the day through eating sweets, etc., it's a good opportunity to think about the Prophet's example and find inspiration in his life story.
